Housing

For Entering Students

Housing, Transportation and Local Services

Because Boston is host to a large number of higher education institutions, access to student housing can be competitive. For this reason we recommend that you begin your housing search early. Apartment units in communities that surround Boston are more affordably priced than those found within the downtown. Many of our students choose locations in Allston, Brighton, Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, Hyde Park and West Roxbury. If you prefer a more suburban location, consider locations in Brookline, Dedham, Newton, Cambridge and Somerville.

Please visit our "Housing Resources" web page for a comprehensive list of on line housing resources and referrals. You can also access the housing message board located on the MSPP MyCampus intranet site to seek housing with a fellow student or to offer a housing opportunity.

If you are new to the Boston area, please visit our "Around Boston" web page for useful information about area attractions and cultural opportunities.

MSPP has contracted with a local women’s fitness center to offer discounted memberships to MSPP students. For more information, please contact the Office of Student Services at 617-323-6662 x524.

MSPP maintains two free parking lots for students. Lot A is located in front of the campus and lot B is located approximately ¼ mile from the campus on Rivermoor St.

Two full functioning kitchens are located on campus and are equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, stove, range top, sink, coffee maker, filtered water cooler, and snack and soda vending machines.

MSPP is accessible by public transportation provided by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). From Monday through Friday, take the Orange Line to the Forest Hills stop, then take bus #36 (Rivermoor Industrial Park). On Saturday, take bus #52 from Watertown Square to the VA Hospital, then walk approximately ¾ mile to the campus. A discounted monthly fare card is available from the MBTA. Please contact the Office of Student Services at 617-323-6662 x501 for additional information about discounts.

For additional information about MBTA schedules and fares, please visit www.mbta.com.
