Anastasia Galanopoulos, PhD, CLC, leads the New Mothers Support Groups at The Freedman Center. She holds a doctorate in Human Development and Family Studies and is certified in Lactation Consultation. Dr. Galanopoulos has taught at Wheelock College and Pennsylvania State University and serves as adjunct faculty at MSPP. Her expertise is in child development and parenting, as well as in lactation and group facilitation. She has over 15 years of professional experience working with professionals and families, and is the founder and principal of the parent coaching practice Parenting with Perspective.
Anastasia brings her passion for creating a community of support for New Mothers as well as her skill in helping parents enthusiastically begin their journey into parenthood to each group she leads. Anastasia is the proud mother of 3 boys.
Groups for first-time moms with babies up to 6 months.

Each group meets with a professional facilitator and provides a wonderful opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, make new friends, and get some support. Discuss developmental issues, expectations of oneself as a new mom, changing relationships with family members, child care options, and much more.

To be put on a Wait List for the program or series that is not open, you may email us at freedmancenter@mspp.edu or call 617-332-3666 x1250 and leave a message for us. When you contact us, please leave your name, which program you want, a phone number, and email address. We will contact you if we are able to accommodate you in the program.
