Applicants for admission beginning in the 2014-2015 academic year and continuing students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This can be done online at www.studentloans.gov after January 1. Be sure to include our school code (G21636) on your application as one of the schools to receive the results. Videos:
To be considered for institutional grant assistance, we recommend that you complete your FAFSA on or before March 1. Need-based aid will be awarded subject to the availability of funds, so it is in your best interest to get your application in as soon as possible.
After you complete your FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) and your application results will be electronically released to William James College. You should review your SAR for accuracy and make any necessary corrections. If you entered estimates of income on your FAFSA, you must make all required corrections when actual income information becomes available.
As a condition of awarding federal and need-based aid, William James College may request verification of reported income, assets and household size. William James College reserves the right to modify your award if your FAFSA information changes or if corrections are required.
Shortly after an offer of admission to William James College, you will receive an award letter that will detail the types and amounts of federal and/or institutional assistance. You must then reply by indicating your acceptance or decline of aid offered.
All students must reapply each year for financial assistance and must maintain satisfactory academic progress. Students applying for admission to William James College with prior federal education loans must obtain a loan deferment request form from the lender(s) or school(s) that originated the loan.
Students should complete the borrower section and deliver the form to our Registrar for certification. Your loan deferment request will be processed after you have officially registered for the Fall semester.
