APPLY To The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology

International Applicants

An international applicant, who is, neither a citizen nor a permanent resident of the U.S. must meet MSPP’s regular admission requirements as well as those listed below.

If written in a foreign language, all transcripts and other documents must be accompanied by an official English translation and certification of equivalency to the American education system.

Applicants who are non-native speakers of English may be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to provide evidence of their level of English as it is spoken and written in North America. The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) may be required for certain international applicants to the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program who have attended school in an English speaking institution. Applicants to masters programs are encouraged to submit their GRE scores to enhance their application.

Upon acceptance to the program, international students will be sent a Foreign Student Certification of Finances (FSCF) form which must be submitted by every student who does not hold a permanent resident (immigrant) visa in the United States. Since international students are not eligible to borrow Federal loans, and alternative loans may be difficult to secure, the FSCF is needed to confirm that all of the necessary financial supports are secured for the duration of study, and to issue the INS I-20 form.

International applicants must provide a copy of their visa before beginning the program.
