This full wavier will also extend to a second program, assuming the second program is also one of MSPP’s new* programs for 2012, and the application is received on or before both program’s deadline for general consideration.
If you would like to apply to one of our excellent existing† programs as well as one of our exciting new* programs we would like to reduce the $75 two program application fee to $50 for you. This reduction will only apply if the application is received on or before both programs deadlines for general consideration.
NOTE:
† Existing programs for 2012 are as follows: Clinical Psychology (PsyD), School Psychology (PsyD), School Psychology (MA/CAGS), Counseling Psychology (MA), Forensic & Counseling Psychology (MA) and Organizational Psychology (MA).

Applying Concurrently to the Counseling Psychology Program and other MSPP Programs
The Counseling Psychology Program, the PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology, the Organizational Psychology Program, the School Psychology Program, and the Applied Psychology in Higher Education Student Personnel Administration Program involve different graduate experiences, specializations, and career trajectories. It is possible, however, that your interests align with more than one program.
If applying to more than one program, the online application affords the option to select an additional program. Please note: this online application and all application materials must be received at MSPP on or before the earliest application deadline date. The application review process for each program is separate, including the interview. If you are a distant out-of-state applicant, you may inquire about arranging both interviews on the same day.
Please take note of the following when applying to more than one program:
- The application fee if applying to more than one program is $75.
- Your Application Essay should include every program to which you are applying.
If you are offered and accept admission to another MSPP program, your Counseling Psychology Program application will be considered withdrawn. Similarly, if you accept the offer of admission to the Counseling Psychology Program, your application to any other MSPP program is withdrawn.
Selection of Candidates
Completed application packets are thoroughly reviewed by members of the MSPP faculty. Qualified applicants will be invited for an interview. Applicants who are not in our general geographic area may opt to schedule a telephone interview. Each component of the application is an important part of the process. Although cutoff scores are not strictly applied, an undergraduate and/or graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is expected. Applicants are welcome to submit GRE scores in order to present another indication of their strengths and abilities although the GRE is not required. Applicants who are non-native speakers of English may be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to provide evidence of their level of English as it is spoken and written in North America. TOEFL combined scores (listening, structure and written expression, speaking and reading) will ideally be over 637 (paper-based), 270 (computer based) or 110 (internet based).
