Dates for Fall 2008 Semester
Application Deadline—August 18, 2008*
Registration Confirmations—August 22, 2008
*Completed applications will be accepted up until 2 weeks before classes start, but those received by the deadline will be given priority.
Fall classes begin September 2, 2008.
Refer to the Academic Calendar for school closing information.
Non-matriculating applications are submitted to the Admissions Office prior to the application deadline and are assessed for evidence of a strong academic background. Registration for any course is contingent upon the approval of the faculty and space availability. Once accepted as a non-matriculating student, the Registrar’s Office will notify the student of the course(s) for which he or she has been approved.
Tuition for academic credit is charged on a per-credit basis. Tuition for the Fall semester is $859/credit. The cost for professionals taking a course for CE credit, in lieu of academic credit, is $450.00 per course. Full payment of tuition is required when you register.
Most courses may be taken for either academic credit or continuing education (CE) credit. Non-matriculating students who take courses for academic credit must meet all course requirements and will be evaluated on the same basis as matriculating students. Students who take courses for CE credit are not required to complete all course requirements, but instead complete a course evaluation to receive CE credit.
If you are considering applying for admission to an academic program at MSPP, please be aware that, while satisfactory performance as a non-matriculating student is a prerequisite to admission, it does not guarantee admission to the doctoral program. Students who plan to apply to the doctoral program should note that applicants are allowed to have previously enrolled in no more than 4 courses while a non-matriculating student. Courses successfully taken by non-matriculating students may later be counted toward MSPP Psy.D program requirements, as transfer credit, provided that they are taken within the relevant time frame.
Additional questions may be referred to either the Admissions or Registrar’s Office at 617-327-6777 x230.
