LS 659—Life Span Development
3 credits
This course covers cognitive, social, emotional, and moral development from a lifespan perspective, but with primary emphasis upon childhood (especially early childhood) and adolescence. Course content focuses on major theories of development and current psychological research, and their implications for public policy and for serving children in school and clinical settings. Normative development will be examined with consideration of the impact of gender, social class, culture, and ethnicity.
