BL 622—Biological Bases of Behavior and Learning
3 credits
This course provides a background in the biological bases of behavior and learning, including fundamentals of neuropsychology, neurophysiology and psychopharmacology. Students apply this knowledge towards understanding such conditions as learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, and mental illness, and become critical consumers of new information in this areas. The relative contribution of heredity and environment is examined. Principles and theories of learning and motivation are also covered.
