Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Program
Time to Completion
MSPP students must complete all doctoral program requirements within seven (7) academic from the date of matriculation. Students who are granted a leave of absence ( 1 year maximum) during their tenure in the program must complete all requirements within eight (8) years of matriculation.
In the seven year period beginning 2001 through February 2007, 187 students were graduated by the MSPP’s PsyD Program. Of these 187:
- 77 students (41%) completed the program within 4 academic years
- 59 students (32%) completed within 5 academic years
- 22 students (12%) within 6 academic years
- 29 students (15%) within 7 academic years
The median time to complete is 5 years, and the mean is 5.5 years
Program Attrition
During the academic periods, 2001-02 through 2006-07, 319 students were matriculated into the PsyD Program. Of this number, 19 students withdrew, were dismissed or failed to complete MSPP’s Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. These numbers indicate a matriculation rate of 94%, and an attrition rate of 6%.
