Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology PROGRAM (MA)

Course Descriptions

PR 850—Capstone Project

3 Credits

Students complete a capstone project which is applied exercise that demonstrates the integration and use of knowledge and techniques that have been acquired during the program. In addition to being pre-approved by the instructor, the projects must be drawn from the students’ workplaces and include documented evidence of the scope and depth.  Students work individually or in teams of two.

Identifying and selecting a change management initiative from the student’s place of employment begins mid-way through the Masters sequence of courses. The student will design, conduct, and evaluate an OD intervention. The student cohort works together to select the projects that can provide maximum learning for the group with each student ultimately selecting a project. Students meet with faculty and work together in small groups online. The meetings are intended for project presentations, feedback, guidance, and project reworking with both faculty and peer input. Final projects will be presented during concluding onsite intensive weekend.
