PA 680—Assessment, Diagnostics and Evaluation II: Best Practices and Qualitative Research 

3 Credits

This course teaches students how to use various tools employed by organizational education and development professionals in assessment, research, and outcomes measurement within organizations. Students learn to work with and develop “best practices” as they further build their professional understanding and skill. How to promote and demonstrate the value of organizational interventions, as well as the “return on investment” for a business, is considered. A range of methodologies for collecting, organizing and analyzing data are covered. Students explore data collection through such strategies as survey instruments, structured interviews, and focus groups. This is coupled with techniques for interpreting and analyzing complex data.
