Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology PROGRAM (MA)

Capstone Project

Students complete a capstone project which is applied and demonstrates the integration and use of knowledge and techniques that have been acquired during the program. In addition to being pre-approved by the instructor, the projects must be drawn from the students’ workplaces and include documented evidence of the scope and depth.  Students work individually or in teams of two.

Identifying and selecting a change management initiative or other OD intervention from the student’s place of employment begins early in the Masters sequence of courses. The student cohort works together to select the projects that can provide maximum learning for the group with each student ultimately selecting a project. Over the course of the summer, the cohort and faculty will meet at MSPP three times, integrated with multiple meetings online for small groups to work together. The meetings are intended for project presentations, feedback, guidance, and project reworking with both faculty and peer input. Final projects will be presented during the third full cohort meeting at MSPP.
