CS 521—Clinical Practicum Seminar II- Helping Relationships II- Application of Counseling Theories and Techniques

This course is designed to integrate clinical experiences in the field site with the study of counseling and psychology in the classroom. The course follows the format for all the clinical seminars. 50% of each class is dedicated to a clinical case conference. Students take turns presenting current clinical issues for consultation and discussion. The group is facilitated by the professor. Students take special care to rigorously protect client confidentiality. The remaining 50% of each class is dedicated to an exploration of the craft and the science of being an effective counselor.
