Ashley Gareau

Ashley GareauHi! My name is Ashley Gareau and I am a first year student in the Master's in Counseling Psychology program at MSPP. I graduated from Lafayette College in May of 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology and moved to the Boston area shortly thereafter. Following my undergrad years I assumed a position at Children's Hospital Boston working as an Administrative Assistant for one of the physicians. While working at Children's I spent a lot of time volunteering with patients on the organ transplant unit and discovered a passion for health psychology. Alas, I decided to attend graduate school for counseling and I have hopes of applying to Psy.D programs when I am done with my Master's. When I'm not studying or doing work (which is rare these days!) I can be found doing yoga, knitting, playing with my dog, or spending time with my family and friends. Also, I absolutely love the outdoors and try to ski, hike, and bike as much as I can! Welcome to my blog and I look forward to sharing my journey through graduate school with you all!

Stephanie Pitcher

Stephanie PitcherI'm living in the Boston area and going to the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology to get my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I moved to Boston from Nampa, ID where I've spent most of my life. I'm married to the love of my life and best friend, Keith. I've spent time working in the mental health care field and am ready to get my Masters so that I can work hopefully somewhere in Community Mental Health. I'm so excited to start this journey and am very optimistic about where it will take me! I love going for walks with friends, drinking mass amounts of coffee, baking and cooking, spending time with family, watching movies, and dying/cutting/doing crazy things with my hair (I think I'm a hair-o-holic! haha). This blog is basically an account of my journey and I hope that you enjoy the tales from this journey!

Jessica GarciaHello! My name is Jessica Garcia. I am an Arizona native and have moved to the greater Boston area to attend graduate school. I recently graduated, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University (the Barrett Honors College). I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am currently a 1st year MA student in the Forensic and Counseling Psychology program at MSPP. I am also currently working with (through my practicum site) adolescent males with a range of behavioral and emotional issues who have a history of fire-setting and sexual offending. On a more personal note, I love music, theater, reading, learning new languages, and my little creatures (2 dogs and a cat).
