Counseling Psychology (MA) Program
Concentration in Spirituality & Mental Health
Students who complete the Spirituality & Mental Health concentration will:
- Learn the theoretical foundations of psychospirituality and how the basic tenets of the major philosophical and religious traditions can be brought to bear on psychological development, health, healing, and a positive psychology.
- Learn how to help counseling and psychotherapy clients examine their spiritual and religious concerns; heighten their awareness of these issues have impacted their development and functioning; and use their spiritual resources constructively in the service of growth.
- Acquire fundamental knowledge and skills related to the practice of spiritually-oriented counseling and psychotherapy
