Master of Arts in Applied Psychology in Higher Education Student Personnel Administration
Individuals completing graduate study in the specialized area of higher education student personnel administration frequently subsequently assume any one of a variety of important functional roles in colleges or universities. Among these are directors of housing and/or residence life, student union and student activities directors, student counselors, athletics counselors/administrators, career development advisors, orientation program leaders, enrollment management administrators, racial and ethnic minority support services coordinators, Greek-life coordinators, and retention and assessment personnel, even vice presidents for student life.
Graduates of the MSPP program will be particularly well-prepared through the integration of coursework and planned field educational experiences. As an extension of the School’s mission and core values, MSPP program graduates will demonstrate fidelity to an array of values that are most often embraced by American higher education institutions and student development programs—diversity, learning, integrity, collaboration, access, service, fellowship, and the spirit of inquiry.
