Description: Life is full of change, and change can be stressful for young children. They must deal with all kinds of transitions, such as starting or ending school (including child care, preschool, kindergarten, or first grade); new baby in the family; going to summer camp; or even moving to a new home or community. Examine young children’s reactions to common life transitions, and what adults can do to help them cope most effectively. Explore also how adults deal with transitions, and learn how to become better role models for managing changes in positive ways.
