Jointly sponsored by Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.

We are pleased to present an exciting series of one day conferences that offer the opportunity to learn from a group of professionals who are among the most senior, innovative and talented practitioners in the field of mental health. The Master Series affords the chance to spend a complete day with leaders in our field to consider the unique perspective each speaker brings to the challenging dilemmas in both theory and practice. Description: Understanding and treating borderline patients has undergone dramatic changes in the face of new and unexpected knowledge that it is a good prognosis diagnosis, it is significantly heritable, and that informed treatments are often harmful. This workshop will discuss the implications from this knowledge with special emphasis on treatment.
