Professional Education and Training

The Business and Psychology Initiative offers many workshops and conferences throughout the year, as well as mini-courses and evening professional meetings. MSPP aims to be the leader in bringing the issues of business and psychology to the workplace, the boardroom and the shop floor. The Initiative offers advanced training and continuing education for professionals with an interest in organizational development, consulting to organizations and how to bring psychological expertise and knowledge into the workplace.

Description: The Annual Conference focuses on the state of the art and science of the Executive Coaching. This year’s conference theme is: 360-Degree Feedback in Executive Coaching. We will review the state of the art and the different forms and approaches of utilizing 360-degree feedback used by different coaches and coaching organizations. The panel of coaches and experts on 360’s will present how they use 360’s to assess, set goals, and evaluate progress for coaching and developing clients. Topics to be explored include standardized surveys, custom surveys, verbatim interview feedback, thematic interview reports, focus group data, and other forms of data-collection and reporting to help coaching clients identify developmental needs, target coaching activities, and determine the results of coaching. The conference attendees will have the opportunity to question the panelists and discuss at length with them and each other the current best practices in 360-degree feedback as part of the coaching process.
