Time: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Program No: AI10
CE Credits: 6
Tuition: $175
Instructor: Diana Whitney, PhD
Location: MSPP
Description:

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is the study and exploration of what gives life to human systems when they function at their best. It is based on the assumption that individuals, teams, and institutions all move in the direction of the questions they ask and encourages questions about what we want more of in ourselves, in our relationships and in our communities. This exciting day-long experience is intended to bring together communities of care and cultivate shared practices for well-being.

Dr. Diana Whitney, one of the founding voices in the development of AI, and the author of the best selling book, The Power of Appreciative Inquiry: A Practical Guide to Positive Change (2003) will lead this enlivening and enriching exploration of Appreciative Inquiry. From large-scale change to team building; from coaching, counseling and therapy to leadership and organization development, Appreciative Inquiry is a highly practical, narrative based, way to create positive change.

Join Diana and learn the foundations of Appreciative Inquiry including the principles and the 4-D Process of Discovery, Dream, Design and Destiny. Practice the art of crafting appreciative questions. Join with other managers and clinical psychologists, counselors and graduate students, consultants, faculty and OD professions to explore how to apply Appreciative Inquiry to bring out the best of people, teams, families, whole departments and organizations. Learn from Diana’s stories of her work in health care, religious organizations, communities and corporations.
