The emphasis for this workshop is on helping to foster relationships that are emotionally sustaining for older adults whose life transitions have brought feelings of loss and estrangement. Different treatment approaches and their common core of therapeutic skills/concepts will be related to patient needs with case studies illustrating a shift from negative to positive aspects of the aging self. |
