Institute for Advanced Graduate Study in Psychotherapy

MSPP is proud to announce our Institute for Advanced Graduate Study in Psychotherapy offerings. New mental health professionals often seek a learning community where they can continue to develop and hone skills while they further build confidence and competence. Mid-career and senior professionals are often looking for opportunities to develop skills in new areas or to receive an update and new skills in their area of clinical focus. MSPP’s Institute for Advanced Graduate Study in Psychotherapy is unique in that it spans theoretical schools of thought an addresses multiple clinical populations. Fostering Connections: Treatment Modalities for Older Adults in Transition

Location: This four hour program will be offered on Cape Cod at the Family Continuity Program, 60 Perseverance Way, Hyannis, MA
Description: The emphasis for this workshop is on helping to foster relationships that are emotionally sustaining for older adults whose life transitions have brought feelings of loss and estrangement. Different treatment approaches and their common core of therapeutic skills/concepts will be related to patient needs with case studies illustrating a shift from negative to positive aspects of the aging self.
