Instructor Biography

Robert L. Weber, PhD

Bio: Psychologist with more than 25 years of experience. Trained at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Bob was the Director of Group Therapy at Cambridge Hospital’s Department of Psychiatry. Currently, he is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, a faculty member of MGH’s Center for Psychoanalytic Studies and its Center for Group Therapy, and the Chair of the Group Therapy Training Program of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy. Bob has been a consultant, supervisor, and teacher, locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally and is active publishing on a variety of clinical topics. He is currently a member of MSPP’s Committee on Psychotherapy and Spirituality which is designing a program to integrate both of these dimensions in clinical practice. His private practice is located in Cambridge, where he specializes in individual, couples/marital and group therapy with an emphasis on the integration of psychological and spiritual issues.
