Joseph Golner, LICSW, Ed.D. has worked with families at the Newton-Baker project, with alcoholics at MGH, with psychotic patients at Boston State and Medfield State Hospitals, and then in public schools with children and teachers. His development of the Competence Model began with children and was developed further as he moved along in his career path through other populations and settings. Most recently he has shown the model works with nursing home patients. It is particularly useful with dementia patients (early to middle Alzheimer’s). |
