Instructor Biography

Peter Entwistle, PhD

Bio: Dr. Entwistle has worked as a psychologist in New England for over 30 years and taught psychology at the graduate level for 16 years He also maintains an independent practice and performs independent pediatric neuropsychological evaluations.

Since 2002, Dr. Entwistle has been an Assessment Consultant for Pearson, formerly known as Harcourt Assessment-The Psychological Corporation. For the previous 10 years he was on the full-time faculty at the University of Massachusetts-Boston in the Graduate Program of Counseling & School Psychology. He served as Program Director and as an Assistant Professor primarily in the School Psychology program, where he was responsible for teaching intelligence and personality assessment courses, neuropsychology, seminar and supervising internship. He has also served as a faculty member at Northeastern University.

In addition to his academic experience, for 6 years Dr. Entwistle was a Pediatric Neuropsychologist at Braintree Hospital. He has also served as Chief of Child Psychology at Pembroke Hospital for 6 years, and as the system-wide school psychologist for the Scituate public school system for 10 years. He did graduate work at Harvard University School of Education and a Ph.D. program at Boston College. In graduate school, he worked at a state psychiatric facility for children, Metropolitan State Hospital for 8 years.
