Instructor Biography

Harriet Berman, PhD

Bio: Harriet Berman, Ph.D. is the Executive Vice President for Clinical Programs at The Wellness Community Greater Boston, which provides free support, stress management and educational services to people with cancer and their families. A licensed clinical psychologist who has practiced in the Greater Boston area for over 30 years, she received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Yeshiva University in 1983. She has worked as a staff psychologist at Beaverbrook Guidance Center in Watertown and Parents’ and Children’s Services in Boston, and has been in private practice in Concord, MA and Newton, MA since 1984. In addition, she was on the core faculty of the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology from 1988 - 2002, and is currently an adjunct faculty member and supervisor of doctoral interns. Dr. Berman’s area of interest is health psychology.
