Scott Wimer, PhD is principal of Wimer Associates, a Santa Monica–based consulting firm. He is a leading organization development consultant and executive coach. He specializes in leadership development, managing organizational change, facilitation, 360º feedback, team development, and the resolution of complex management problems. Dr. Wimer also leads seminars and workshops on topics including coaching, communication, change management, and consulting skills. Previously, he has held positions as an internal organization development consultant at General Dynamics, Kaiser Permanente, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

Dr. Wimer has published in Training and Development, Executive Excellence, The OD Practitioner, Consultation, The Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, and traditional academic journals. His work has been featured in the videos "Situational Coaching," "Learning from 360º Feedback," and "Continuous Team Development."

He has a practical, hands-on approach and he relates well to people at all levels of an organization. His programs are tailored specifically to the needs of his clients and they often result in major, enduring change to the organization's culture. He is especially skilled at addressing challenging, high-stakes problems, working with volatile leaders, and helping people resolve issues creatively.

Dr. Wimer's clients include major companies in health care, professional services, high tech, construction, internet, financial services, biotech, insurance, advertising, utilities, government, education, the arts, and nonprofit agencies. He has a PhD in psychology from UCLA with a concentration in Organizational and Behavioral Science from the Anderson School. He received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Rochester, and he studied at the University of London. Dr. Wimer teaches at UCLA and Loyola Marymount University.
