Mary Clair, PhD
Mary Clair, Ph.D was hired in 2012 as an adjunct faculty member in the MA in Forensic & Counseling Psychology Program. Dr. Clair completed her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at Drexel University in 2006. She is a former Postdoctoral Fellow in Forensic Psychology at the Brown Alpert Medical School, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. After completing her Fellowship, she was hired as an Assistant Professor (Research) at the University of Rhode Island where she conducts treatment outcome research with juvenile justice-involved youth. She is currently the Project Director and Clinical Supervisor of three NIH funded grants related to substance use and reproductive health. She is also the Internship/Externship Program Coordinator and Practicum Supervisor at the Youth Development Center in RI, the state’s sole juvenile correctional facility. Her past clinical and forensic experience has included work with juveniles and adults in correctional, inpatient, and outpatient settings where she has conducted evaluations including competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, risk assessments, substance abuse, and custody and divorce evaluations.
